Here you find everything you need to know to transform RAW data into numerical  physiological output that can be used in statistical analysis. The DAMS interface is designed to create a logical and efficient work flow and the tutorial videos in this section are designed around it. All  previously existing VU-AMS software modules (V.1.1.6.0 or older) are improved and integrated into a single program: VU-DAMS. 

R-PEAK DETECTION: Automated R-peak and artefact detection keeps manual correction to a minimum. The Suspicious Beat Detector helps you locate wrongly placed R-peaks faster than by looking at irregularities in the IBI overview window. This is especially true in longer ambulatory measurements and naturalistic settings. 

DATA LABELING: Segmenting continuous ICG and ECG data is made easy with the  label data editor which is suitable for any research design. The Generic Label Configuration Unit allow for easy assigning of multi leveled identifiers to specific segments of the data. This is especially useful in AMBULATORY MEASUREMENTS IN NATURALISTIC SETTINGS where activities are labeled  by retrospect translation of self report diaries of the subjects.

POWER SPECTRAL ANALYSIS: The DAMS program now has an integrated power spectral analysis of the Inter Beat Interval Signal. After segmenting your data into separate labels, the DAMS program automatically provides values for LF, HF and LF/HF for all labels with a minimum length of 4 minutes.

RSA SCORING: Quality of the scoring of Respiratory Sinus Arrhythmia (RSA) is improved by Enhanced Artefact Detection and the quality controlled IBI signal. 

PEP SORING: R-peak locked ensemble averaged scoring of the PEP, LVET etc. is improved by the addition of an Ensemble Averaged ECG signal. Ensemble averaged Q point scoring is now available.

Additionally, Time Based Ensemble Averaging will allow you to cut of the RAW data into a sequential set of segments of a fixed length varying from 10 seconds to 1 hour.

DATA HANDLING: The data export module allows you to export to ASCII or .XLS and in single file mode or Batch Mode.
